Sheriffs Santa's - About Us
As a former P.G.A. apprentice I had the opportunity to participate in the charity golf tournament called Shop with a Cop. Since becoming a business owner in Maricopa, I wanted to give back to the community. With the help of Sheriff Chris Vasquez we came up with Sheriffs Santa’s. The charity is to benefit children 8 to 13 years old who come from families who often struggle to provide the bare essentials. Deserving children are selected with the help of the Sheriff’s Deputies and the school’s principles.
So with the money raised from Sheriffs Santa’s, we take each child on a shopping spree at Wal-Mart in Casa Grande. Each child receives $750.00 and a uniformed Deputy to assist them in shopping.
These children often buy for their family before they buy something for themselves. Something like a blender for Mom, a tool set for Dad, and a bicycle for their brother or sister are just a few examples of what most of us take for granted.
With your help we can make life a little easier for these children and their families, and allow the children to see Law enforcement in a positive environment.
